The Office publishes bulletins on a quarterly basis, which provide details of complaints received by the Police Ombudsman.
The final bulletin of 2024/25 was published on 24 April 2025 and can be viewed below.
The key points from the report are:

The Office received 3,085 complaints in 2024/25. This is an 8% decrease in the number of complaints received when compared with last year. It is also the lowest number of complaints received since the 2021/22 year.

'Criminal Investigation' was the most common main complaint factor underlying complaints, accounting for just over three in every ten of complaints received during this time.

The Office received 5,214 allegations in 2024/25. This is a 13% decrease in the number of allegations received in the previous year. It is also the lowest number of allegations received since the 2020/21 year.

'Failure in Duty' was the most common allegation type received, accounting for just under half of allegations received.
The first bulletin for the year 2025/26 is due to be published on Thursday 24 July 2025 and will include statistics up to the 30th June 2025.
