This statistical report presents the findings from the Police Ombudsman’s module in the Northern Ireland Life and Times (NILT) survey, 2025. The results from the survey are used to monitor public awareness and confidence in the Police Ombudsman’s Office.

Equality Monitoring Survey Report 2025/26
Every person that makes a complaint to the Police Ombudsman is asked to complete an equality monitoring form. The questionnaire includes the categories of age, gender, marital status, employment status, sexual orientation, community background, race, country of birth, disability, dependants and political opinion. This Equality Monitoring Report presents the results from the questionnaires that were issued to complainants for complaints received during 2025/26.

This statistical report presents the results from the 2025/26 ‘Complainant Satisfaction Survey’ carried out by the Police Ombudsman’s Office. The survey has been conducted in one form or another since 2001 and the results have been used by the Office to determine how complainants felt about the service they received and how they felt they were treated by the staff who dealt with their complaint.
