This statistical report presents the results from the 2024/25 ‘Complainant Satisfaction Survey’ carried out by the Police Ombudsman’s Office. The survey has been conducted in one form or another since 2001 and the results have been used by the Office to determine how complainants felt about the service they received and how they felt they were treated by the staff who dealt with their complaint.

Every person that makes a complaint to the Police Ombudsman is asked to complete an equality monitoring form. The questionnaire includes the categories of age, gender, marital status, employment status, sexual orientation, community background, race, country of birth, disability, dependants and political opinion.
