The Police Ombudsman’s Office is appealing for witnesses to an incident that happened in Newtownards on Tuesday 6 September 2022.

The incident, which involved police officers and a member of the public, took place at around midday outside a house on the town’s Glenbrook Road.  

A spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses who may have seen a man and a large number of police vehicles and officers in the area at around that time.

“We are particularly keen to speak with anyone who may have recorded mobile phone footage or have dashcam footage of the incident.”
