Police Ombudsman investigators are investigating the actions of police prior to a fatal road traffic collision in the Claudy area in the early hours of Sunday 11 December 2011.

The collision resulted in the death of Claire Kelly, who was a rear seat passenger in a burgundy-coloured Renault Clio.

Prior to the road traffic collision the Clio was observed being driven in the Feeney area.

Police Ombudsman investigators would like to speak to anyone who may have seen this car and/or an unmarked, dark-coloured, Skoda Octavia police car in Feeney or Claudy between approximately 01.20 am and 01.35 am on Sunday, 11 December 2011.
