A witness appeal has been issued by The Police Ombudsman's Office in relation to an incident which took place in Strabane in the early hours of Sunday 17 January.

At shortly past 3.00am an altercation between an adult male and police officers occurred outside Katy Dalys Nightclub after police received reports of indecent exposure. The individual was then removed to parked police Landrovers in Dock Street where an alleged assault took place.

A Police Ombudsman spokesman said: "We have received a complaint about this incident and are looking to hear from anyone who may have seen what happened. There were a large number of people in the area whose information may prove significant to our investigation".
