The Police Ombudsman has appealed for witnesses to an incident involving an adult male and a police Land Rover that took place in the early hours of Friday 4 June 2010. The incident occurred at the junction of Odessa Street and Dunlewey Street, close to the Falls Road.

In a statement issued to the media, the Ombudsman's Office has appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

"The Police Ombudsman's Office has received a complaint and is aware of a number of people in the area who may have seen what happened. We are appealing for anyone who may be able to help us to get in touch on our confidential Witness Appeal Line on 0800 032 7880."
