The Police Ombudsman's Office has appealed for information about an incident at Ann Street in Ballycastle at around midnight on July 16 2003.

Police Ombudsman investigators are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and who witnessed an altercation between police officers and a young man in the vicinity of Causeway Wines and the town's First Trust Bank.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact the Police Ombudsman's Office on 028 9082 8699.

A spokesman for the Police Ombudsman's Office said: "We are keen to establish the sequence of events in relation to this incident.2
