Since opening in November 2000 representatives from the Office have visited hundreds of community groups throughout Northern Ireland to explain how the police complaints system works.
Members of Kingdom Youth Club, Kilkeel, during a visit by the Police Ombudsman's Office in July 2014.
The Office is committed to making sure that young people, including those who are not in education, are aware of the Police Ombudsman’s Office. Its awareness-raising programme involves visiting youth organisations to discuss why the Office exists and to explain how to make a complaint and what happens during an investigation.
If you would like somebody from the Office to visit your group please contact Maria McCourt, Information Officer, on firstname.lastname@example.org.
