Abuse Of Process

A complaint will be closed as an abuse of process when it becomes clear that the person making the compliant is using the system for a purpose other than the resolution of the complaint.

Anonymous or repetitive complaints

The Police Ombudsman will not usually investigate repeat or anonymous complaints.

Vexatious Complaints

A complaint will be closed as vexatious if it becomes apparent during investigation that the complaint is without foundation and that the complainant has had a vested interest or malicious intent in making the complaint.
